Board Game Extravaganza: Join us to play some of the classics, and a wide variety of new board games.
Walk to Balboa: At the Dunes, we have an island in our backyard. Join us on this short walk for a great time on Balboa Island. You can ride the ferry over to the Fun Zone and enjoy a ride on the newly restored Merry-Go-Round. And on the way home, don't forget to try one of the world famous Balboa ice cream bars.
Basketball Tournament: Sign up with the Game Room Attendant in the Clubhouse to enter tournament. Enter in teams of 4. Prizes for the winners!
Candle Magic: Do you like candles? Make your own candle craft at this activity with all material supplied by the Dunes. The hardest part will be waiting for nightfall to light your creation. Cost is $2 per craft.
Candy Guessing: Stop by the front office to make your best guess on how many pieces of candy are inside our beautifully decorated candy jar. The closest guess, without going over, wins the candy jar...and the candy inside!
Candy Bar Bingo: Do you like candy? Do you like bingo? If you said yes to both, then you’ll love this unique and tasty rendition of the classic game. Join us for this tasty treat! A candy bar will be needed for a game card (candy bars may be purchased at the Marketplace).
Family Bingo: bring the whole family to the clubhouse for some BINGO fun! $1 per card, Newport Dunes memorabilia and other prizes. Candy Bar Bingo and Breakfast Bingo throughout August.
Fans and Gliders: Here is a craft for everyone. You can either decorate your own personal fan or you can put together and decorate your own personal glider. Either way everyone goes home happy. Cost: $1.
Card Making:Design a personalized card for any occasion by using our vast collection of rubber stamps, markers, crayons, colored pencils, and many other decorations. Cost: $.50 per card.
Puzzle Making: Putting a puzzle together can be fun, but making your own puzzle is much more exciting. We have numerous coloring tools to help you create an original design for your enjoyment. Cost: $.50 - $1.00.
Trucker Hats: These hats are the most popular thing around right now. Come an join us in creating your own personal hat. Cost: $4 per hat.
Open Project Time: This is a great opportunity to use our spacious clubhouse to finish a project, work on a puzzle, color a picture, or play cards with a friend. We provide all the supplies. Just come to the main office and they will have it ready for you.
Horseshoe & Vollyball Tournatment: Sign up with the Game Room Attendant in the Arcade. Winners of each tournament win 1 Night Free in RV Site!
Monday Night Football: Enjoy NFL action in primetime on our big screen TV. Location: Clubhouse.
Sun Catchers: Hang these awesome decorations on a window and they will look just like stained glass. Choose from a variety of styles. Cost: $1-$3.
Water Aerobics: 8:3Oam-9:3Oam Every Monday, Wednesday, Friday. Enjoy some water exercises to start your day off right. Free to RV Park guests. Location: RV Park Pool.
Dance Social: Get your boogie on to all your favorite music. Join in the fun as start the party off right with musical chairs, freeze dance, air guitar contests and even karaoke. We will have $2 pizza and $1 sodas for sale.
Movies on the Beach: Join us every Friday and Saturday at dusk as we view all your favorite movies on our new, giant inflatable movie screen. Be sure to bring your beach chairs and blankets. Location: behind the Marketplace.
Picture frame: What better way to remember your vacation than to make your very own picture frame? Be as creative as you like using mosaic tiles, stencils, or markers. A craft that'll last a lifetime. $1

Sand Art: Who doesn't like making art out of sand? Design your own unique sand jar to take home, or follow one of our numerous patterns to make a picture everyone can enjoy. $1 for the picture.
Ice Cream Social:Load up on vanilla ice cream and all your favorite toppings. Cost: $1 per scoop. Location: Pool Deck
Limbo Contest: How low can you go? Fun for all ages! Location: grass area between sites 1119 and 2101.
Face Painting and Tattoos: Come join us and get one of your own temporary tattoos, and maybe get a face painting too!
Tie Dye: Jump back in time and create your own tie dyed shirt, shorts, or pair of socks. The more colors the better. Our skilled staff will show you how to make many different designs. All clothing is available for sale at the Market Place, or bring your own.
Jewelry Making: We have beads galore and here is your opportunity to make a cool necklace Cost is $1-$2.
Kayak Tour: 10 am - 12 pm every Sunday. Join a guided tour of the Back Bay and learn to maneuver a two-man kayak. Space is limited. The cost is $20 per person. Call Moe B's Watersports for reservations at (949)729-1150.
Moe B's BBQ:Come and join us for BBQ hamburgers, hotdogs, grilled veggie burgers, cookies, chips and soda. Enjoy your dinner on our picnic tables surrounding a warm bonfire.
Friendship Bracelets:Come join us to make yourself or your friend a bracelet that has meaning. Cost: $.25 per bracelet.
Fuse Beads:We have a wide variety pegboard shapes and thousands of colorful beads to choose from. Just place the beads on the pegs and we’ll iron them into precious momentos. Cost: $.50 small, $1.00 large.
Rice Krispie Decorating: This is a twist on the typical cookie decorating. Join us as we make creations out of Rice Krispie treats. Cost: $1 per treat.
Scratch Art: Create a colorful masterpiece using rainbow colored scratch paper. Simply scratch in your design and voila! Cost: $.50.
Harbor Tours: Enjoy a guided tour of Newport Harbor on an electric buffy Boat. See all that the harbor has to offer up close. Purchase tickets in the Front Office. Boat holds 8 people maximum. Tour leaves from Moe B’s Watersports.
Potluck Bingo: Get to know your fellow campers during an entertaining potluck. We will provide the main dish while you supply your beverage and one of the following: a salad, a side dish, or a dessert. Bingo starts at 6pm! $1 per Bingo Card; play as many as you want!
Family Bingo: Bring the whole family down for some bingo fun. Cost: $1 per card, good for the entire game.
Moe B Craft: Put together a craft in honor of our mascot Moe B. buries.
Ping Pong Tournament: Let’s see who will be the next Forrest Gump. Sign up with the Game Room Attendant in the Clubhouse to enter tournament. All ages welcome.
Pizza Party/ Dance Social: Every Thursday night at 6pm. Reserve your pizza at the front office and join us for a party and lots of dancing all night long!
Pool Tournament: See who is the best pool player on property. Sign up with the Game Room Attendant in the Clubhouse. Cost: 50 cents per person.
Guitar Hero: who’s the next great guitar rock star? Come to the clubhouse to find out!
Karaoke: American Idol here we come! Newport Dunes has the next big thing in music!!! Meet us at the Clubhouse to sing your heart out with your friends or solo!
Water Wars: throughout the summer; meet us behind moe b’s watersports for some wet water fun! Bring your water guns and bathing suits! We’ll bring the filled balloons!!!
