Resort Updates & Response to Covid-19

Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort & Marina is committed to you, the community, and the environment.
Last Updated February 15, 2022.

Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort & Marina is excited to announce the reopening of our resort for waterfront recreation and accommodations. As we look forward to welcoming you back to our resort, we understand the uncertainty brought on by current events and the hesitation you may have when staying with us. Newport Dunes is a sanctuary for all and we have adapted our interactions, taken significant precautions, and refined our offerings to reimagine your stay with peace of mind. For more information, review our enhanced safety protocols and our Sanctuary for All initiative.

COVID-19 Resort-Wide Policies

Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort prioritizes the safety of guests and team members and encourages all resort guests to do their part to stay safe and healthy. We will continue to take precautions to provide a responsible and enjoyable experience by:
• Performing additional cleaning protocols in all areas of the resort, including increasing the frequency of these cleaning routines with an emphasis on all high-touch areas.
• Checking temperatures of team members at the start of each daily shift.

• Encouraging all guests to wear a mask and maintain physical distance from others when indoors. The state of California requires individuals unvaccinated for COVID-19 to wear a mask indoors. This includes indoor amenities such as the Registration Office, Marketplace, and Laundromat. By entering indoor spaces without a mask, you are attesting to having been fully vaccinated for COVID-19.

• Management encourages guests, especially those with underlying health conditions, to continue to exercise caution and to follow CDC guidance to help protect themselves and everyone around them.

Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort & Marina is proud to take the S.H.I.P. SHAPE Pledge, alongside the City of Newport Beach and the over 40 local businesses in the community. We pledge to instill customer confidence while encouraging the community to shop and dine local throughout the winter season and beyond.

“Providing a safe environment for employees and customers is a sure path to economic recovery,” said Steve Rosansky, President and CEO of the Newport Beach Chamber of Commerce. “It has been a challenging year, especially for our businesses, and we applaud their ability to pivot with every new mandate. There’s light at the end of the tunnel and this pledge serves as a reminder for all of us to remain vigilant, thus saving lives and the economy during what we hope is the final path to conquering the virus.”
