  1. Balboa Island – home to quaint shops & restaurants. It’s a 1.2 mile walk from Newport Dunes. Be sure to try a chocolate covered frozen banana.
  2. Balboa Village – great for families with a ferris wheel and other fun attractions.  You can take the ferry (as a pedestrian, in your car or with your bike) across the water to Balboa Village from Balboa Island. 
  3. Mariner’s Mile offers a number of nearby restaurants including the Rusty Pelican,Billie’s by the Beach, The Winery and Louie’s by the Bay.  Fast food includes McDonalds and Del Taco.
  4. Lido Marina and Cannery Village – this has unique upscale shops and a number of waterfront restaurants including The Cannery, Nobu, Malibu Farm Grill, Bear Flag Fish Grill, and Bluewater Grill.
  5. Back Bay Nature Preserve – offers tons of wildlife viewing with trails for hiking and great for kayaking.
  6. Fashion Island – a world-class shopping and dining destination.
  7. Corona Del Mar – cute area offering beautiful views, and quaint shops. Restaurants & bars include:  Bungalow, Quiet Woman, Banderas, Gina’s Pizza, and Zinc Cafe.
  8. Crystal Cove State Park – beautiful park for hiking with amazing coastal vistas.  Dine at the Beachcomber restaurants right on the beach or stop at the Shake Shack along the Coast Highway with amazing views.

Please be sure to rent your RV site before committing to an RV rental.  It is important that the size of the RV rental will fit into the RV site you book at Newport Dunes.  We advise you to pick the size of RV you want to rent, make sure it is available from the rental company, and book the site at Newport Dunes before confirming the RV rental.

Important Information

  • Check-in time is from 2 pm – 10 pm daily.
  • Check-out time is 12 noon daily.
  • Winter Rates are applicable the Tuesday after Labor Day to Memorial Day Friday.
  • Summer Rates are applicable the Friday before Memorial Day through Labor Day.
  • Trash receptacles are located at the back of the park off Bluff Dr.
  • All reservations require full payment with a credit card in advance at the time reservation is made.
  • An additional flat fee of $50 per reservation can be added to guarantee your requested site number. 
  • Pet fees are $2 per day or $10 per week. View our pet policy.
  • One vehicle pass included. Additional car passes can be purchased for $25/car per night.
  • Prices are determined by availability. Busy times and holidays will yield higher prices.
  • Newport Dunes reserves the right to change rates without prior notice.
  • CANCELLATION POLICY: Beginning January 1, 2023, reservations are subject to the following cancellation fees: cancellations outside of 72 hours from the reservation arrival date will receive a full refund. Any cancellations made within 72 hours of the reservation arrival date, will be charged the first night of the reservation. The Site Guarantee fees and online booking fees are non-refundable. Please call the resort to cancel or make changes to your reservation. 949-729-3863.
