NOTICE: Please be aware, the Resort is not permitted to accept or honor reservations for non-essential travel while the California Regional Stay at Home Order remains in effect. All essential travelers will be required to sign a Travel Acknowledgement at check-in.

To welcome your stay with us, we want to share our Sanctuary for All Initiative. As guidelines shift, we will continue to evolve our operations in accordance with government standards.

Enhanced COVID-19 Operations Procedure

“Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort & Marina intends to safeguard our guests and our team from the coronavirus (COVID-19) and ensure we are prepared, supported, and trained effectively to work in this new environment. Our team has established an action plan to ensure responsible operations at the resort and make sufficient resources available to ensure that this plan complies with state guidelines and can be implemented effectively and quickly.” – Phil Ravenna, Acting General Manager

NOTICE: Please be aware, the Resort is not permitted to accept or honor reservations for non-essential travel while the California Regional Stay at Home Order remains in effect. All essential travelers will be required to sign a Travel Acknowledgement at check-in.

We expect our guests to:

  • Practice physical distancing.
  • Wear facial coverings when they are in a high-risk situation, this includes both indoor and outdoor public spaces, per Governor Newsom’s mandate given June 18, 2020.
  • Have no more than 6 people on your site
  • No congregating and/or cause gatherings of 10 people or more anytime and anywhere on resort property
  • Additional cleaning protocols in all areas of the resort have been implemented, including increasing the frequency of these cleaning routines with an emphasis on all high-contact surfaces and handles.
  • Multiple hand sanitizer dispensers have been placed around key guest areas, including our lobby, Marketplace, and restaurants.
  • Acrylic shields have been installed at all service points and doors at all access points remain open during operating hours.
  • All resort team members will participate in regular training to ensure effective health, safety, and sanitation standards, including the expectation to stay home if they don’t feel well for any reason.
  • Temperature checks will be conducted for all resort and restaurant team members.
  • All team members are required to wear approved personal protective equipment, including face masks, shields, and/or gloves at all times for select tasks.
  • Physical Distancing practices are being implemented to help prevent the spread of viruses.
  • We have elevated our rigorous cleaning and sanitizing of each beach cottage, prior to guests’ arrival and immediately after departure.
  • Enhanced and longer exposure time for all environmentally-approved disinfectants on high-contact surfaces, including countertops, light switches, electronic controls, doorknobs and handles, bathroom surfaces, faucets, bed and bath amenities, and closets.
  • In-room print materials will be replaced with digital and web versions.
