Independence Week at Newport Dunes

Bring out the red, white, and blue from June 30-July 6 as we celebrate Independence Day on the Back Bay! Our annual celebration will bring you an entire week full of games, activities, watersports, movies on the beach, food and drinks, and a special reimagined virtual firework show. Now more than ever, you deserve something to celebrate!

We want to assure you the health, safety, and experience of our guests and community remain our top priority. We are honored to have you as our guest during this special week. To show our appreciation, our week-long 4th of July celebration this year will be exclusively for resort and marina guests. Our resort and marina will be closed to the public on July 4th, 2020, only guests wearing designated wristbands will be allowed on the property.

ENTRY

Resort & Marina Guests Free | Up to 6 people to comply with OC Health Guidelines

Upon check-in, guests will receive six (6) wristbands per RV site, beach cottage, or boat slip. Please DO NOT lose your wristbands as additional wristbands cannot be purchased. For the safety of our guests, everyone will be required to wear their wristbands on the day of the event, including children ages 5+.

Enhanced COVID-19 Operations Procedure

“Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort & Marina intends to safeguard our guests and our team from the coronavirus (COVID-19) and ensure we are prepared, supported, and trained effectively to work in this new environment. Our team has established an action plan to ensure safe operations at the resort and make sufficient resources available to ensure that this plan, can be implemented effectively and quickly.” – Alex Santander, General Manager

  • Additional cleaning protocols in all areas of the resort have been implemented, including increasing the frequency of these cleaning routines with an emphasis on all high-contact surfaces and handles.
  • Multiple hand sanitizer dispensers have been placed around key guest areas, including our lobby, Marketplace, and restaurants.
  • Acrylic shields have been installed at all service points and doors at all access points remain open during operating hours.
  • All resort team members will participate in regular training to ensure effective health, safety, and sanitation standards, including the expectation to stay home if they don’t feel well for any reason.
  • Temperature checks will be conducted for all resort and restaurant team members.
  • All team members are required to wear approved personal protective equipment, including face masks, shields, and/or gloves at all times for select tasks.
  • Physical Distancing practices are being implemented to help prevent the spread of viruses.
  • We have elevated our rigorous cleaning and sanitizing of each beach cottage, prior to guests’ arrival and immediately after departure.
  • Enhanced and longer exposure time for all environmentally-approved disinfectants on high-contact surfaces, including countertops, light switches, electronic controls, doorknobs and handles, bathroom surfaces, faucets, bed and bath amenities, and closets.
  • In-room print materials will be replaced with digital and web versions.
